The historic market town
of Keswick sits majestically at the head of
Lake Derwentwater in Cumbria overshadowed
by one of Lakelands oldest and highest fells,
the mighty Skiddaw. It's central location
within northern Lake District makes it a perfect
base for exploring the region by foot or vehicle
and for some areas by boat. |
|
|
Many of Keswick's visitors
spend time exploring the surrounding majestic
fells or treading in the footsteps of the
Lakeland poets, Beatrix
Potter and many famous artists. The region
also offers plenty of alternative locations
in the form of historic landmarks, museums,
gardens, coastal areas and other specialist
visitor attractions.
